OP Mainnet gas fee calculator.

Live fees read straight from the chain, with the base fee, the tip and the L1 data fee shown separately and nothing rounded up. Paste a transaction hash to see exactly what it paid.

How the fee is calculated

Fee = gas used × (base fee + tip) + L1 data fee. Gas used depends on what the transaction does. The price per unit of gas has two parts, and the L1 data fee comes on top.

The base fee is set by the protocol for every block.

The tip (priority fee) is what your wallet adds on top. Low, Standard and High are what the last 100 blocks actually paid: the 25th percentile, the median and the 75th percentile.

The L1 data fee pays for posting the transaction to Ethereum. It follows the transaction's compressed size in bytes rather than its gas, so the estimate prices a typical transaction of each kind with OP Mainnet's own fee oracle. A lookup shows what a transaction actually paid.

The max fee your wallet shows is only a cap. You are charged base fee + tip, and the rest is never spent.

Some calculators round any gas price under 0.1 gwei up to 0.1. When the gas price sits below that, their estimates come out several times too high. This one shows what the chain reports.

Data: eth_feeHistory and transaction receipts from public OP Mainnet RPC nodes; ETH/USD from Chainlink's price feed on OP Mainnet; the L1 data fee from OP Mainnet's GasPriceOracle. Refreshed every 12 seconds.
